Who I am
I'm Michael Teeuwen — an engineer to the core. My path didn't start with code but with design: I studied Multimedia Design and then Computer Science in Amsterdam. That mix of an eye for detail and technical depth has stayed with me ever since.
Over more than fifteen years I grew from web developer to senior software engineer and cloud architect. I've built business-critical systems for organisations including De Nederlandsche Bank, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Robeco and PGB Pensioendiensten — from a monolith rebuild with a team of twelve to microservices on Azure.
In 2021 I founded Codery, my own consultancy. No layers, no noise: you work directly with the engineer writing your code. I specialised in Azure architecture, DevOps and infrastructure as code — the foundations these sectors run on.

Where things have to be right
I build software and cloud infrastructure for organisations where things simply can't be shaky — financial services, pensions, public services. My specialty: setting up Azure DevOps and YAML pipelines, infrastructure as code, cloud-native and AI-assisted development — and making it something beautiful. I know the frameworks that apply in that world and build with them in mind, so that what I deliver not only works but also stands up to scrutiny.
